Hi I'm Jonatan! (Or as my friends like to call me, Pete. )

I was born in Poland and moved to Scotland at the age of 10, where I was enrolled into a local primary school. I graduated high school at the age of 18 and am now attending Perth College UHI, where I study popular music. My favourite topic of study is music theory and history of popular music. I like to try out many different instruments but over the years I've mainly stuck with playing guitar, bass and piano, with guitar being my main focus.

As I've moved to Scotland, I've acquired a completely new taste for music, this being heavy metal. My favourite bands that I would listen to were; Slipknot, Disturbed, FFDP, Metallica and Helloween. Due to the fast and very energetic nature of heavy metal, it proved rather difficult for a complete beginner like me to try and play songs played by my biggest idols. This resulted with a big change in music for me, from the fast and heavy riffs of heavy metal to slow and soothing melodies of classical music. This is how I've first gotten into music theory and studied it ever since.

At that time, I've also pursued a career in sports  and sports coaching where I've obtained several coaching qualifications when working with 3-11year olds which I dedicated my time to for 6 years.

With the discovery and deeper study in music theory I've made a decision of switch from coaching sports to teaching music lessons and classes within my high-school. In 2019, I've joined a Popular Music course at Perth UHI to further my knowledge and better my guitar playing skills so that one day I could reach out to any beginning musicians out there following the same steps that I once made and help them with their journey through the world of music.
